End of the course

My experience concerning e-learning is unfortunately not very good.

In the beginning I expected to improve my Russian knowledge and I was quite enthusiastic about the course I chose. I seem to have made a mistake when I chose the course. It was advertised to be a course for beginners who would probably like to live in Russia. The description offered a lot of practical knowledge, making me believe that this would be the perfect possibility for me.

The thing I received was completely different from what they promised. My first problem was that it was hard to understand what and how to find within the course. The second problem for me was the content itself. At some points it was completely illogical for me. Some units contained much less knowledge than what I already have, which surprised me because I was far from being the best student in my Russian class. Another trouble was that there were a lot of tasks which should have been read out by a teacher or which were meant to be tasks for in class work. I also missed some peers, it would have been nice to have a forum or something.

All in all, at least I learned that I have to be more careful when searching for an e-learning course. Despite of all the bad things I emphasized, I do not regret taking this course because I could still learn some things from it and I was able to gather some experience what may be helpful for me later.
