I decided to take a free Russian course I found on the site worldmentoringacademy.com. I used to have Russian lessons in high school but did not really succeed in learning the language because I did not take it too seriously at that time. I remember the alphabet and some words, nothing more. I noticed that many Russians are coming to Hungary nowadays, so the demand for people who speak the language is growing. This course is a good opportunity for me to practice and improve my knowledge. I would like to take a language exam at some point.

The course is self paced and it consists of 11 units. I saw that it is planned to be an 8 weeks course. I could not find many information about the feedback part but I think there will not be any kind of feedback. Mostly practical knowledge is offered through everyday topics. The focus is put on oral skills, it is stated that they do not really deal with writing skills, only the most essential bits of it. The units look like a language book, with illustrations. It is easily printable and downloadable. It has got a lot of excercises and about 5 hours of listening part. As far as I have seen, it is logically built up but does not have any colours. The language is mostly clear and understandable. The course is not frequently visited by learners, although there is a forum for the topic, there are no active learners except for me.
